Data Deletion Instructions

1. What happens when you uninstall an app

When you uninstall a ZyncLabs app from your Shopify store, Shopify notifies us and we delete the store's data within 48 hours. This includes the store's settings, message logs, automation configuration, and any customer contact details the app collected.

2. Disconnecting a WhatsApp Business Account

If you connected a WhatsApp Business Account through Meta's Embedded Signup, clicking "Disconnect" in the app's Settings page removes the access token we hold for that account and stops all sending. You can also remove ZyncLabs from your account at any time in Meta Business Settings under Integrations, Connected apps.

Data received from Meta for that account, such as phone number details and message delivery status, is deleted together with the rest of your store's data when you uninstall the app, or on request as described below.

3. Requesting deletion without uninstalling

Email [email protected] from the email address associated with your Shopify store and state which store and which app the request concerns. We confirm the request and complete deletion within 30 days.

Customers of a merchant who uses our apps may also contact us directly at the same address. We will delete the data we hold about you and inform the merchant of the request. Note that the merchant may hold their own copy of your data in Shopify, which is governed by the merchant's own privacy policy.

4. What we keep

We keep only what is required by law, such as billing records, and anonymised usage statistics that cannot identify a person or store. Backups that contain deleted data are overwritten within 30 days.
